Tap the camera button at the bottom of the screen, then choose 'Library' to pick a video from your photo library, or 'Take Video' to record a new one.
In the analysis view, drag left or right on the timeline area to move frame by frame. The ruler follows your finger 1:1. Drag up or down to change the timeline sensitivity (zoom in/out on the timeline).
Use a two-finger pinch gesture on the video to zoom in or out. Drag with one finger to pan around when zoomed in.
In the analysis view, tap the Compare button (two overlapping rectangles icon) to add a second video. You can then view them side by side or switch layouts. Tap the layout button to toggle between side-by-side and overlay modes.
Tap the Edit button (sliders icon) in the analysis view. From there you can trim the video to a specific range, rotate it 90 degrees, or flip it horizontally.
The 2D skeleton shows detected body joints and connections overlaid on your video in real time. Tap the skeleton icon in the toolbar to toggle it on or off. This uses AI pose detection running entirely on your device.
The 3D model shows a three-dimensional representation of the detected pose. You can rotate it by dragging with one finger, and zoom with a two-finger pinch. This helps you see body positions from angles not visible in the original video.
Tap the annotation tool in the bottom toolbar to expand the drawing tools. You can draw arrows, lines, angles, circles, and add text directly on the video. Each annotation is tied to a specific frame (keyframe) so it appears at the right moment during playback.
MotionCoach provides several annotation tools:
Tap on an existing annotation to select it. You'll see resize handles and a delete button. Drag the handles to resize or reposition, or tap the delete button to remove it.
Annotations are attached to keyframes — specific moments in your video. Tap a keyframe marker on the timeline to configure its properties like duration, fade in/out, and playback speed. This lets you create professional coaching videos with timed annotations.
In the annotation toolbar, tap the microphone button to start recording your voice. Speak your coaching cues, then tap stop. The voice recording is attached to the current frame and plays back during video review.
Tap the share button in the top toolbar to export your video with annotations and skeleton overlays applied. You can share the exported video directly or save it to your photo library.
Long press on any video in the library to open the context menu. From there you can edit tags, add notes, mark as favorite, view info, or delete. You can also search videos by tags or notes using the search bar at the top of the library.
Long press a video and select the note option. In the note panel, toggle on the reminder switch and set a deadline. Reminders appear in the library's Reminders section so you don't forget to review specific videos.
MotionCoach Pro unlocks premium features including AI pose tracking, 3D reconstruction, annotated video export, and voice annotations. You can subscribe monthly or yearly, and there's a 7-day free trial. Manage your subscription in your device's App Store or Google Play Store settings.
Yes. All videos are stored locally on your device and are never uploaded to our servers. Pose analysis runs entirely on-device. We only store basic account information (email, name) for authentication. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Go to Settings and tap the Language section. You can choose from English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Chinese, Japanese, or Korean.
Exporting a plain single video (without annotations or skeleton overlay) is always free. However, if your video includes annotations, skeleton overlays, or if you are exporting a side-by-side comparison with two videos, MotionCoach Pro is required. This is because these advanced exports require additional rendering and processing.
Go to Settings and tap "Play Tutorial" to replay the interactive tutorial from the beginning. This will guide you through all the main features of the app step by step.
When the annotation toolbar is expanded, touch gestures on the video or 3D model are used for drawing annotations. To rotate the 3D model, first collapse the annotation toolbar by tapping the annotation button (pencil icon) again.
Yes, all videos stored in the app will be deleted when you uninstall, as they are saved locally within the app's storage. To preserve your videos before uninstalling, export them to your photo library using the share button. After reinstalling, you can import them back from your photo library. Your account and subscription will be restored automatically when you sign in again.
The 3D model is generated from AI pose detection running entirely on your device. Accuracy depends on video quality and conditions. For better results:
When body parts are hidden behind objects or other limbs, the AI may estimate incorrectly or miss nodes. The 3D model is reconstructed from 2D pose data, so some depth information is estimated and may not be perfectly accurate.
